Admissions/Appeals
School Admissions
The Local Education Authority (LEA) allocates all pupil places within the school.

Reception 2018/19
If your child turns 4 before 31st August 2018, you will need to apply for a primary school place. The deadline for your application is Monday 15th January at 17.00. You can make your application and find helpful tips and information online here.
We have 60 places in our Reception Year, if we are oversubscribed, places will be allocated in accordance with our Admissions Policy which can be found on this website.
If you apply for a place at the Good Shepherd, please ensure that you contact the school and complete our Supplementary Form and if necessary the Parish Priest Reference, which we need to have completed and returned by 15th January 2018 at 17.00.
We have two open days for parents to come and look around the school; Wednesday 8th November 2017 at 14.00 and Thursday 9th November 2017 at 10.30.

Appeals
Parents have the right to appeal against the Governors’ refusal to admit their child/children. To appeal against the decision the parents should write to the Clerk to the Governors. If your child is refused admission, you are invited to appeal in writing to the Chair of Governors at the school. Appeals will be heard by an Independent Panel.
