On Wednesday 22nd March, Year 5 had a wonderful trip to the National Space Centre in Leicester. With six interactive galleries, the UK’s largest planetarium, and the iconic 42m high Rocket Tower, the award-winning National Space Centre really was an out of this world experience!
The children experienced what it takes to become an astronaut by experiencing a rocket launch from inside the body of an astronaut. They explored the amazing worlds of inner and outer space, from floating around the International Space Station to manoeuvring through microscopic regions of the human body. The children also discovered the perils that lurk in space and the many space hazards!
Year 5 demonstrated excellent behaviour and were an absolute credit to our school! The children, staff and helpers all experienced a fantastic day at the National Space Centre!
