  • Public Health England Guidance re: Coronavirus/COVID-19

    Please be advised we are following Public Health England guidelines in regards to Coronavirus/Covid-19. Please find the guidelines here - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-to-educational-settings-about-covid-19/guidance-to-educational-settings-about-covid-19.

    Please find attached an a Public Health England advice poster which we also have displayed around school.

    If your child has a specific medical condition that the school is already aware of, please contact the school office if you have any concerns.

     

    The Department for Health issued new guidance relating to Coronavirus on 26th February 2020:

    “If you have returned from these specific areas since 19 February, you should call NHS 111 and stay indoors and avoid contact with other people even if you do not have symptoms:

    If you have returned from these areas since 19 February and develop symptoms, however mild, you should stay indoors at home and avoid contact with other people immediately and call NHS 111. You do not need to follow this advice if you have no symptoms.

    • northern Italy (anywhere north of Pisa, Florence and Rimini)
    • Vietnam
    • Cambodia
    • Laos
    • Myanmar”

    Yesterday, we launched a new helpline to answer questions about COVID-19 related to education. Staff, parents and young people can contact the helpline as follows:

    Email: DfE.coronavirushelpline@education.gov.uk
    Opening hours: 8am to 6pm (Monday to Friday)

    • No school should close in response to a suspected (or confirmed) COVID-19 case unless advised to do so by Public Health England.

  • Year 3 and 4 Gymnastics Competition

    The Year 3/4 gymnastics team competed in the Gymnastics Competition at Benham Sports Arena on Friday 7th February 2020. 

    They had to do a vault, body management and a floor routine. The team had been practising for many weeks in just a classroom!
