At The Good Shepherd we follow the Church Heart Smart programme with added input depending on specific which may occur in the classroom. Furthermore, for our Relationship and Sex Education, we follow the approved programme ‘A Journey in Love’.

From PSHE lessons children will understand the purpose of their learning and apply it not only in the classroom but out in their everyday lives. Heart Smart reflects on previous learning then there is also the fact that they repeat the key principles each year which are memorable and displayed around school all of which help to remind them of the knowledge, concepts and work they have done in class.
